Covid-19 Updates

As everyone is more than aware, we are all currently facing an unprecedented crisis that affects not just the UK but the whole world.

From this week, the office is staffed part time. However, Jacqui and I are working from home and will deal with queries, book searches in where possible and return reports when available.

Please bear with us and if you need to contact us, please email us in the first instance.

Additionally, what this also means to PSNE and our clients, is that the Local Authorities are one by one issuing details of changes to their services, particularly regarding search provision.

As of the announcement of 23/3/2020 regarding the restriction of movement/lockdown, a number of councils have completely closed offices, which means that we are unable to complete searches in some of the authorities.

This is also a fluid situation, as those that are currently open may have to adjust and close if staff numbers are affected.

As it stands, as of 1/8/2020, the following Councils in the North East are unaffected:

North Tyneside, Sunderland, Gateshead and Northumberland

Councils that have said their services levels may be affected resulting in some delays:

Durham, Newcastle, South Tyneside, Middlesbrough, Stockton, Darlington, Redcar and Cleveland.

There may also be some additional delays over the summer due to the increase in volumes and annual leave.

For other areas, please contact us before placing search orders so that we can confirm whether we are able to provide searches during the lockdown or whether we will have to wait until afterwards.

Thank you for your assistance and patience at this trying time.

We hope you and yours stay safe!
